Position 

The Department of Veterinary Integrative Biosciences (VIBS) in the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (CVMBS) at Texas A&M University is seeking applications for an 11-month, fully funded, instructional-track Assistant or Associate Professor faculty position (non-tenure track) with a commitment to teaching gross anatomy to professional veterinary students and undergraduate biomedical sciences students.

The successful applicant will be expected to devote 80-85% effort to teach primarily in the professional and secondarily in the undergraduate gross anatomy courses during fall, spring, and summer semesters. Individuals with a demonstrated record of teaching clinically oriented large animal anatomy will receive preference.

The position will also include 15-20% effort to service and scholarship. Scholarship may include collaborative research and/or teaching scholarship in his or her area of interest. Documented records of prior productivity in research and/or teaching scholarship should be included if available.

The successful applicant will join an active, clinically-weighted anatomy teaching group with expertise in all aspects of veterinary anatomy and a department dedicated to excellence in teaching and scholarship. Departmental faculty demonstrate expertise in both teaching and scholarship in the areas of biomedical genetics, epidemiology, neuroscience, public health, reproductive biology, science and technology journalism, and toxicology. 

Qualifications 

Applicants must hold a DVM or equivalent degree, as all professional anatomy courses are heavily clinically weighted. Documentation of teaching should demonstrate prior responsibility for both course lecture and laboratory teaching, as well as a strong record of teaching excellence. 

Salary 

Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with training and experience.
